The exquisite Shadow Berry print features my illustrations of swallows, passion-flowers, woodland and architecture in the city of Bath, with shimmering sky blue colour tones.
This beautiful illustration is part of the Moon Tree series. My drawings for this series have been inspired by folk stories and fairytales, including an anonymous writer in 1703 who hypothesized that swallows fly to the moon to hibernate each year. An illustration of the moon can be found in each print and I have long been fascinated by the metaphorical power of forests and woodland in fairytales.
